www.snakesandstars.comSnakes and Stars is a brand new musical creation of Michael Travis (The String Cheese Incident, EOTO) and Aaron Johnston (Brazilian Girls, David Byrne’s American Utopia).
Long time friends and collaborators, Michael and Aaron were looking for new avenues of musical creation when Michael reached out to share a concept for a new Electronic Duo.
They got together to check it out and it worked! It worked very, very well. The musical visions synchronized effortlessly and Snakes and Stars was born.www.brahctopus.comBrahctopus is a space-rock collective playing originals and covers from many genres including jam-rock, psychedelic, disco, reggae and funk. The band is balanced with an incredible flow of musicianship; giving space to one another to create musical soundscapes capable of making anyone feel squiggly. Brahctopus is fronted by a ukulele wielding vocalist with a passion for lyricism. Three unique guitarists and a keyboard wizard feed off one another for ripping solos and lifting harmonies while the bass and drums create rhythmic bliss. The most recent release is a live album captured at GareFest 2023 available on all streaming outlets!
www.mikedillonband.bandcamp.comwww.mikedillonvibes.comVibraphonist/percussionist Mike Dillon has spent the last three decades playing well over 200 shows a year with both his own band, as well as a sideman with artists including Rickie Lee Jones, Les Claypool and Ani DiFranco. So when the pandemic hit in early 2020 forcing Dillon off the road, he instinctively directed his perpetually restless creative energy to writing and recording. Residing in Kansas City after spending 15 years in New Orleans, Dillon and producer Chad Meise would track a trilogy of albums: ‘Shoot The Moon,’ ‘Suitcase Man’ and ‘1918.’ Collaborating with his record label Royal Potato Family, they would release these records exclusively via Bandcamp just days after they were mixed and mastered.
The first of the three records, ‘Shoot The Moon,’ is a ten track collection which Dillon describes as “Punkadelic-Funk-Psych,” focused heavily on the current political climate in the United States. Assembling an assortment of stylistically uncompromising musicians to contribute, its line-up features Matt Chamberlain, Steven Bernstein, Nicholas Payton, Robbie Seahag Mangano, Jean-Paul Gaster and Nick Bockrath among others.Ticket Tier Info:
