Originally from Georgia and now based in Nashville, Willow Avalon’s musical journey began with her first word, “Elvis.” Raised by her mother and grandmother in a small Southern town, she grew up playing piano in church and taught herself guitar at age 12, using songwriting as both an escape and a means of self-expression through a life-journey that has been anything but straight-forward. Her much-praised 2025 debut album, Southern Belle Raisin’ Hell, cemented her as one of country music’s most compelling new voices, blending classic country, Americana, and pop influences. Macy Todd’s warm, lived-in voice and roots-leaning sound balance classic songwriting with quiet modern candor. Introduced through her single “something pretty,” Todd pairs intimate storytelling with an Americana sensibility reminiscent of Sheryl Crow, the emotional timelessness of Patsy Cline, and the raw vocal prowess of Alanis Morissette. Earlier releases like “pocket change” established her plainspoken lyricism and understated, heart-forward style. Fresh off opening for Zinadelphia on tour and set to join Willow Avalon’s fall run, Todd is building real momentum heading into the release of her debut EP “pretty ruthless”, due June 5.
