Sleeping Witch & Saturn:
https://sleepingwitchandsaturn.bandcamp.com/

Sleeping Witch & Saturn strike a unique balance between dark post-punk and catchy new wave. Formed in 2017, the group is composed of lead singer Matt Vituccio, bassist Anna Shaw, drummer Alex Nelson, and lead guitarist/keyboardist Rowdy Kanarek – who also records and produces all of the band’s releases. Each member’s voice shines through in the group’s collaborative writing process, as well as their individual perspectives on art, positionality and culture. Shaw feels that their identities as queer, non-binary and disabled are inextricable from their identity as a musician, and is passionate about creating a more accessible and diverse music scene. Vituccio believes that otherness will always find its way into his work and that it colors his relationship with art.Sleeping Witch & Saturn skillfully blend an array of vocal styles with intertwining guitar parts, ethereal synth sounds, driving bass lines, and cavernous drums. Their work has manifested in a self-titled EP released in 2018 as well as The Divine Madness of Spring, their debut LP set for release in September of 2022.
