Woodland Creatures is a six-piece Americana band based in Pittsburgh, Pa that believes everything is better with three-part harmony. Their original songs are carefully arranged to showcase the beauty and power of their harmonizing vocalists, and the virtuosic talent of their fiddle and lead guitarist. While their songs are influenced by a variety of musical genres, they are all tied together with rootsy vocals and unique instrumentation.
Their upcoming album , All Within Reach, features what the band has become known for: three-part-harmonies with a vintage vibe. “After seven years of playing together, we know what we’re good at and know how to use it!” The album is influenced by 70’s and 90’s folk, americana, and rock genres. And of course, it wouldn’t be Woodland Creatures without lyrics that feature their love for nature, friendship, and fascination with anything witchy.
Starting off the night is Liz Berlin (founded member of Rusted Root), and Chet Vincent & The Music Industry.
Liz Berlin’s collection of original songs –sometimes tranquil, sometimes funky, and sometimes raging– are written on a very personal level, and her life experiences unfold like chapters in a book. She explores her imagination thoroughly, projecting the fine lines and shadowy corners of her heart and mind with a sensitive intelligence. You may become utterly enchanted by her many voices, spiraling at times from tender and chillingly true, into an elegant wailing decree.
Chet Vincent and the Music Industry is a rock n’ roll band from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. For fans of George Harrison’s soul, Neil Young’s dirt, Gram Parsons’ country, and Tom Petty’s jangle.
