It’s been 8 years since 28 North has played a show. They are coming to The Thunderbird, a place they cut their teeth for years as a Pittsburgh based nationally touring act (ZZ Top, 311, Young the Giant, Eddie Money, My Morning Jacket to name a few) for one night only of masterful ROCK N ROLL bliss.

Don’t miss this show!

28 North. Real. Rock. Music.

The Rock ‘N’ Roll Dream is alive and well in 28 North – a hardscrabble highway and a hard-driving band, both originating on the north side of Pittsburgh, PA. It’s followed a circuitous route through the hard-luck coal towns and rusted steel mills of western Pennsylvania, following roads once blazed by the likes of people named Dylan or Springsteen or Petty, but also traveled by the likes of The Del-Vikings and Rusted Root and Joe Grushecky and Bobby Blotzer. And if you don’t know those names, you should. All from Pittsburgh. All part of the tapestry that is Rock ‘n’ Roll. Years of touring the USA in a beat-up school van, seeing the country throughthe eyes of rock n’ roll, eventually brought the group to a crucial decision.  “I moved to California in my 25th year with nothing but my brother’s and a van full of gear”- sings 28 North Singer/Frontman Michael Lindner in their song “Los Angeles.”  So westward they came, seeking – and finding – inspiration with every step of the journey.

The boys in the band – Michael Lindner, Tyler Bond, Taylor Netzler, and Mark Glinka -have been honing their craft through a profound amount of time and dedication spent together on and off stage.  Recently, 28 North has been living in their tourbus exploring the Golden State while simultaneously recording their most dynamic material to date with Producer Gavin MacKillop (Kitten, MxPx, Sugarcult, Echo and the Bunnymen). From SXSW and CMJ to sharing the stage with bands like Young The Giant, My Morning Jacket, TV on The Radio, and Dawes, 28 North is that once in a lifetime band, uniquely blending superb musicianship with mature songwriting abilities. With their timeless songs, their polished vocal harmonies, earnest lyrics, ferocity on stage, and a dedication to honor the principle of boundless creativity, 28 North hauls forth toward musical enlightenment.
