A quintet who cheerfully disregards every kind of one-dimensional label that might be attached to their music, Fireside Collective has been on a roll since emerging from the fertile roots music scene of Asheville, North Carolina. In quick order, the progressive bluegrass group released its debut album, won the 2016 Band Contest at MerleFest, earned an International Bluegrass Music Association Momentum Band of the Year nomination and embarked on an ambitious touring schedule that’s earned an enthusiastic reception from traditional bluegrass to wide-ranging, eclectic music festival audiences alike.

Buffalo Rose is a modern folk band from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with a penchant for harmony and an intense love of the natural world. The band's lineup has snowballed from its inception in the spring of 2016 to include three vocalists (Mariko Reid, Lucy Clabby, and Shane McLaughlin) and four string instruments: guitar (Shane McLaughlin), dobro (Malcolm Inglis), bass (Jason Rafalak) and mandolin (Bryce Rabideau). These unique musical ingredients come together in a mesmerizing harmonic puzzle that is at times haunting, other times foot-tapping, and always a good time. After just six months together Buffalo Rose put out their debut EP, Red Wagon, in November 2016. After an energetic response to this bite-sized record, the group continued to use their momentum to begin work on their first full-length album, 'The Soil and the Seed,' available as of March 2018, while sharing the stage with a variety of national acts including The Infamous Stringdusters, The Dustbowl Revival, Yarn, Kuinka, and Dangermuffin. Now you can find them on tour around the Eastern US as well as occasionally in Pittsburgh to support their recent release.
A quintet who cheerfully disregard every kind of one-dimensional label that might be attached to their music, Fireside Collective has been on a roll since emerging in 2014 from the fertile roots music scene of Asheville, North Carolina.
Debuting at #3 on the Billboard Bluegrass Charts, their 2020 release “Elements” (Mountain Home Music Co.), blends the characteristic interplay of bluegrass instrumentation and harmonies with strong original material and exuberant energy, creating music that is part bluegrass and part roots rock with a dose of funk-influenced danceable rhythms.
Produced by Travis Book of The Infamous Stringdusters , “Elements” is distinctive, continuing to use a wide influence of sounds to create a body of work that belongs to Fireside Collective alone.
